Trauma is like an Onion – Part 1
I’ve been thinking about the plethora of ways that trauma adversely affects us. It reveals itself in almost every aspect of our lives. It morphs like a virus mutates. It can often appear innocuous, yet it’s deadly, detrimental, and devastating.
Trauma is like an onion.
Some layers are thin and easier to process, while others are thicker and more arduous. Peeling will bring tears, and every tear shed represents healing and new growth. We are becoming even better versions of ourselves.
What I know to be true is that rewiring our brains requires a lot.
